Hi Fam,

We now have over a foot of the most beautiful fluffy snow you’ve ever seen. They cancelled church (because no one could get out of their driveways or into or out of the church parking lot) so Dad and I put on all our snow gear and took a walk. It was so much fun! Then we can home and began shoveling our driveway—you know how wide and long it is! It took the two of us (although I’m only worth half a person when it comes to shoveling) over a hour but we did take a few breaks. That wasn’t quite as much fun, but still, part of the Colorado experience I guess. We did covet a few of our neighbors’s snow blowers. Wish we’d bought one last winter but we needed so many other things, and didn’t really think we’d use it too often. We shoveled 2 hours ago, and now Dad is going out to do it again. I’m useless for a second shoveling. If he doesn’t, we’ll be stuck in our house for days! They have already shoveled the street once, but I’m sure they’ll be back for another run later today. The snow is still coming down in blizzard proportions, so don’t know how much more we’ll get. It's been snowing for at least about 18 hours now. We’re hoping for snow like this when Doug and Carly’s family’s come for Christmas. I tried making a snowman but the snow is too fluffy.

Burrowing in,
Mom

Here's the pictures to go with my earlier blog. I still haven't quite figured out how to do this so if you don't see picturs, you'll know "I'm just to old to do all this new fangled stuff!"

Texas trip and Thanksgiving in Colorado

Hi Family,
Check out these photos from our trip to Texas and then Thanksgiving back home. Hope you all had a great feast and lots of fun with family and friends. I made way too much food and sent lots home with Dave and Darlene. A fox visited our back yard the day before Thanksgiving. Guess he smelled the pumpkin pies cooking. He sunned himself for about an hour while we were putting up Christmas lights in the front yard! Guess we've finally arrived in the wild country if a fox visits!

Here are some more pictures from us. . .

Trail Dust Steak House

Last night, we went out with Brian and Teri and the kids, Mom and Dad and Teri's sister and parents to the local Trail Dust Steak House for a little country dancin' and fine cuisine! We had a great time all together.

It was Mom and Dad's Anniversary too so Brian had the band dedicate a song to them! Mom cried! It was fun to see Mom and Dad out dancing it up!

It was very entertaining watching the regulars do some line dancing. I swear there was a 90+ year old man that was "cuttin' the rug" better than I have ever been able to! He was so into it. We've been in Dallas a year and a half now and still don't own a cowboy hat or boots. Guess we better make a stop at Pink's Western Wear one of these days! Wonder if they have stuff in Zach's size too?
